The basic DOGIPOT® concept is itself inherently eco-friendly, and DOGIPOT® has been very environmentally conscious with respect to the design and use of materials in its products. All of DOGIPOT's® products (except one) are currently manufactured with some portion of recycled content (i.e. recycled steel, aluminum, plastic or fiberglass) and all of DOGIPOT's® products are made with recyclable materials. The Poly DOGVALET® is the only product not made with recycled content due to quality issues caused by using recycled material; however, its content material is recyclable.

Forms+Surfaces goal is to convert all site products to FSC certified wood as the standard by the end of 2009.

Metal is the world's most recycled material and is fully recyclable. Maglin's aluminum casting components contain 95% recycled content (57% post consumer, 38% post industrial). Steel components are electrocoated (E-coated) - the same process used by the automotive industry because of its proven durability and rust protection. Maglin's E-coating process uses lead-free paint and chrome-free sealers in a closed system - significantly reducing hazardous emissions.
Sustainability, especially environmental sustainability, is the key to Thomas Steele products. The steel used to manufacture their bike racks and site furnishings is produced in the United States using the basic oxygen furnace process. Recycled content, especially post-consumer recycled content, is an important feature of many green products. Thomas Steele stainless steel bike racks are made of up to 90% recycled material. One Walden recycled plastic bench contains the equivalent of 750 recycled plastic milk jugs! Their recycled plastic consists of high-density polyethylene material (HDPE), also made from post-consumer recycled plastic. The material is graffiti and ultraviolet (UV) resistant and is ideal for outdoor use.
