Berliner Seilfabrik make their play structures last for decades, which makes replacements less necessary, thus saves resources. A large percentage of their playgrounds installed before 1980 are still in use, still safe, and still fun to play on. Berliner Seilfabrik uses Aluminum made from 85 percent recycled pre-and postconsumer material. The steel they use to build our durable playgrounds is made from 70% postconsumer recycled steel. Berliner Seilfabrik production has been PVC free for more than a decade. They take every step in the ‘cradle-to-cradle’ process seriously and ensure that the total carbon footprint of their products is as small as possible.

Progressive Design Playgrounds designs and manufactures state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly commercial children's playground equipment and recreation site furnishings. Each Progressive Design Playgrounds play structure is created through a unique process of transforming tens of thousands of recycled milk containers into 100% HDPE (high-density polyethylene) recycled plastic lumber (RPL). By replacing conventional playground materials with this futuristic plastic, each play structure saves anywhere from 10 to 20 trees and effectively utilizes millions of recycled milk containers each year that would otherwise be filling up precious landfill space.
