For over thirty years, Idaho Wood has provided exterior lighting fixtures to the homes on Figure 8 Island, just outside of Wilmington, North Carolina. Exterior fixtures on Figure 8 go through extensive review by the Homeowners Association to ensure compliance with light pollution regulations to protect wildlife, particularly sea turtles.

Kersting Architecture and Peridot Interiors sourced Idaho Wood’s 258-16” mid-mount sconce for the exterior fixtures of “Serenity” – a design masterpiece recently added to the collection of outstanding homes on Figure 8 Island. Our western red cedar up/down sconces are integrated into the natural design of the home, all under wide eaves to limit upward light pollution. With a history of withstanding the environmental elements of the Carolina Coast, including wind, rain, salt, humidity, hurricanes and hot and cold temperatures, these fixtures stand the test of time in hard environments.
