Patchogue, New York - Living Shoreline Project
Patchogue, New York

Project Details

Location
Patchogue, New York

Idaho Wood designs and manufacturers exceptional wooden architectural lighting fixtures and specialty timber products at its workshop in Oxford, North Carolina. Quennell Rothschild and Partners engaged Idaho Wood to assist with its Living Shoreline Project in Patchogue, New York.

The project entailed delivering (213) solid 8x8 western red cedar posts as well as (44) of our 262 down light bollards. Our posts and bollards were used to rope off and separate a restored and replanted living shoreline from a publicly accessible park area, as well as to light the walking trail. Idaho Wood’s 262 bollard was the perfect choice as it seamlessly becomes one with the environment. It’s beautiful, Dark Sky friendly influenced design, protects wildlife from unnecessary light pollution while also providing generous illumination for the walking trail and pedestrians.

Before and after photos of the project are available here, and select project photos are below.
