For the elderly with memory loss, specially designed gardens provide important benefits: decreased agitation and anxiety, better quality of sleep, opportunities for social interaction and exercise, experiences that engage the senses.

A wonderful example is the Tranquility Garden at the McAuley Convent, which Design for Generations planned and Eric’s Nursery and Garden Center created for the Sisters of Mercy. It features a circular path paved with 3,000 square feet of Porous Pave XL.
