This $25 million renovation of the aquariums Marsh Pavilion, where the otters live, included featured of live jellyfish from around the word, a giant Pacific octopus and a touch pool with Indo-Pacific invertebrates. It also included a toddler play area with activities themed around the ocean, science, and nature; an area for outdoor water experiments, and an otter den, where children can peek inside the mammals’ habitat.

The toddler area included a custom designed poured in place rubber surfacing around a water themed playground. The poured in place rubber surfacing included custom stingray, whale, and dolphin inlays to accentuate the water theme on the playground.
